As skiers discovered the adventures that awaited in Galena, the name became synonymous with technical backcountry skiing in bottomless powder. Here, from the start of the season, 80% of the skiing is in the forest, in March and April the proportion gradually increases to skiing in high alpine terrain. Galena is recommended for experienced skiers.<\/p>\n<p>4 groups of 11 skiers share a Bell 212 helicopter. The lodge is built where three major valleys meet giving\u00a0access to skiing in almost\u00a0all weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Galena\u00a0is a fly-in lodge. The following morning, private bus departs from FPS to the Galena heli-pad where you will be picked up by helicopter for the final flight to the lodge. During the journey, there are simple snacks and drinks on the bus.
